Olhava Business Park
Largest Privately Funded Interchange

Client: Olhava and Associates
Poulsbo, WA

Olhava Business Park Poulsbo, WA PACLAND designed and permitted the 154-acre Olhava on-site grading project that now serves office, retail, and multi-family development. Off-site improvements included the largest privately funded interchange improvement project in the history of the WSDOT Olympic Region. Because the state highways were classified under the Nation Highway System (NHS), the project design documentation required an interchange and channelization plan for approval, hydraulic analysis and design, and final plan preparation review at both the WSDOT Olympic Region and Headquarter levels. This project included designing and permitting the SR 3 /SR 305 interchange reconstruction project. Additionally, major intersection and roadway widening, ramp reconstruction, two new traffic signals and one traffic signal modification at the Viking Way / SR 305 intersection were completed. Also included were the design and permitting for the SR 3 /Finn Hill Road interchange improvements and Finn Hill Road/A-line Road intersection improvements; both included one new traffic signal and major intersection reconstruction. Onsite infrastructure design included approximately 2.2 miles of roadway improvements that included storm drainage, water, sewer, street lighting, utility trenching, pavement markings, and one new traffic signal with interconnect to the SR 305 interchange.
