Tualatin Valley Highway (OR. 8, N. Adair Street) and North Fourth Avenue Roadway Improvements Project
Specific Design to Avoid Utilities

Cornelius, OR

The Cornelius project involved reconstruction of approximately 1,400 feet of Fourth Avenue and approximately 1,200 feet of the highway. Project improvements included a right turn lane from the highway, storm drainage improvements, modifications to two traffic signals and the design and installation of two street lighting systems. The storm drainage systems within the highway and Fourth Avenue needed to be specially designed to accommodate an existing 6 gas main and to avoid a major bank of fiber optic conduit.
